Nelson P. Carvalho is a Financial Executive with over 40 years of experience in organizations ranging from Fortune 100 to entrepreneurial, privately-held, and also Non-Profit. He holds an MBA from the University of Delaware where he was also a full-time Member of the Faculty for 3 years in its College of Business and Economics.

He has held financial management positions at E. I. DuPont de Nemours & Co., Inc., Westinghouse Electric Inc., and Fiber-Line, Inc. in capacities ranging from Internal Audit to Budget Director at a large Government-Owned-Contractor-Operated (GOCO) facility, to District Controller in a wholly-owned environmental remediation subsidiary, and CFO at a mid-sized manufacturing company. He also co-founded and operated a company that distributed energy-saving technology to large energy consumers along the US East Coast. He later became the Chief Business Officer of the Hepatitis B Foundation and the Baruch S. Blumberg Institute in Doylestown, PA. At that time he was also the Chief Operating Officer for the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center of Bucks County, also located in Doylestown, PA.

In 2013 he along with three other Partners co-founded N-Zyme Scientifics, LLC to develop and supply enzymes primarily used in Glycobiology-based applications and research, and where today he is its President/CEO.
